On Wednesday 26th May I attended the National Association of Disabled Supporters annual general meeting at the Wembley Stadium. I was very impressed by the professionalism, the people involved, the commitment and the very high attendance from member clubs. As well as the association business there were excellent presentations including one from the pupils of the Deans School in Wolverhampton who are working on a project called “Football For All”. They are gathering data on experiences of disabled fans attending matches and I offered to help them speak to Scottish fans to obtain their perspective so would be grateful for your support when contacted. The number of Scottish disabled supporters associations is growing and in the near future we will be turning our attention to forming a national association in Scotland. NADS has been very successful and is a perfect example of what Scotland should aim to model its new national association on.
