CAFE seeks Development Officers in Europe

We are currently recruiting for the full time roles of Eastern European and Western European Development Officers.

The main focus for both roles is to develop networks across Europe with disabled supporters and football clubs. We are looking for dynamic, proactive and self motivated people who are passionate about our cause and willing to go that extra mile to achieve better access in football stadia across Europe.

Both roles will be self-employed and home based. You also must have access to a computer and communications and must be computer literate. Both roles include foreign travel and the successful candidates must be fluent in English (verbal and written).

An understanding of supporters' networks will be important and knowledge of pan-disability access requirements for disabled supporters at sports stadia will be an advantage.

Key responsibilities for both roles include:

  • Identifying and building a network of local and regional disabled supporters associations
  • Sharing CAFE, disability and access information with regional disabled supporters groups
  • Promoting good practice and improving access
  • Supporting CAFE in shared projects with our key partners
  • Liaising with regional stakeholders

For the Western European Development Officer:

  • You should be fluent in at least 1 further European language (verbal and written)
  • You should be based in Western Europe, as you will be travelling and connecting with football supporters in this region

Deadline for applications: 5 March 2010 a midnight

Interviews will be held mid March, location to be confirmed.

For the Eastern Europe Development Officer:

  • You should be fluent in Polish and Ukrainian (verbal and written), as this role will include support work for Euro 2012

Interviews will be held early March, location to be confirmed.
